When aluminum foil is wound around the lead terminal for an aluminum electrolytic capacitor, the element is sometimes torn off at the point contacting the corner of the lead terminal.
Kohoku Kogyo has improved the die design and achieved the production method that does not occur burrs on the corners of the lead terminal during punching.
Comparing the sectional views, spiny burrs are generated on the corner of the standard type (upper), but no burr is found on any corner of the edge-free type (lower).
