Using a Slurry Cast Method
KOHOKU KOGYO supplies high purity quartz lenses, using a unique technology called slurry casting technology. We make a slurry from silica powder and mold it at normal temperature under normal pressure. Then, the mold body is sintered, and the high purity quartz glass is obtained. We can provide various shaped lenses with customized molds for your order.
Our quartz glass made by the slurry casting technology is as high as synthetic quartz in purity and has a high transmittance in the ultraviolet light range.
