1
Preservation of an outstanding local environment and reduction of global environmental impact
We will strive to conserve the outstanding local environment adjacent to Lake Biwa, which is the source of our water supply, and promote the reduction of global warming gas emissions and the efficient use of resources through energy and resource conservation.
Through our business activities, we will contribute to efforts to reduce global warming gas emissions, such as the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources, the conversion of automobiles to electric vehicles, and the promotion of telework, and we will also contribute to the maintenance and development of the optical fiber high-speed, large capacity communications network, which consists of the information and communications infrastructure that supports the reduction of such emissions.
2
Innovation in business activities
In the lead terminal business and the optical components and devices business, we will proactively engage in innovation of technologies, products, and services, and aim for business growth through global partnerships.
3
