Microcolumn

Kohoku Kogyo provides thick wall capillary with 50μm to 1,000μm bore made of quartz glass by the quartz glass production technology of Kohoku Kogyo original method. This type of product has been used for analysis application of chemical and bio, medical, or composition of medical or chemical medicine. This type of capillary is applied with the microcolumn for microscale analysis used in the gas-chromatograph and liquid-chromatograph, mass analysis.
Sample amount obtained from the body is very limited, and Bio and Medical analysis for various purpose requires highly accurate analysis within such microscale substances.

Capillary type micro reactor

Kohoku Kogyo develops microcolumn capillary made of ceramic and quartz glass by applying with the quartz glass production technology of Kohoku Kogyo original method. This capillary has thick wall of 50μm to 1,000μm and shows good mechanical strength. As to microcapillary, when capillary's OD becomes shorter, wall area per volume goes wider, then collision of sample material inside capillary toward capillary wall increases rapidly. Therefore, the reactor with high reaction efficiency can be designed by arranging reaction catalyst at inside capillary. Also this capillary can be utilized under high temperature ambient up to 1,000degrees, because of material feature of alumina and zirconia, quartz glass.
