Hermetic sealed device has been dominating in the high-performance optical product for protecting performance degradation and improvement of long term reliability.

Kohoku Kogyo, ahead of market, established the feedthrough assembly technology , in addition to the optical fiber assembly technology using mettalized fiber that has been accumulated for years, then have been providing these products in volume at Suzhou plant in China by the prodction system developed in Japan headquarter.

Kohoku Kogyo process the precise fusion splice by solder to attach the metallized fiber with the sleeve made of precisely plated Kovar or nickel arroy. By original sleeve design and precise metal splice technology, Kohoku Kogyo developed the hermetic optical fiber array feedthrough which shows low loss optical transmission and satisfies low He leakage less than 1x10^-9Pa・m³/sec.

The highly accurate v-groove type fiber array can be processed at tip end of optical fiber.

Additionally, multi-channel ribbon fiber is adapted with the resin made fan-out box. The splice on the single channel fiber and attachment of various optical connector at the fiber end is available.

The hermetic-sealed optical fiber array is widely recognized and applied with the optical modulator and tunable optical switch, AWG.

Kohoku Kogyo also succeeded in commercial production of multi-channel hermetic fiber array in addition to the PMF used in modulator.
